Who are we? We’re a local family sharing our love for sauna with our hometown of Richmond, VA. As a family-owned-and-operated small business, we see River City Sauna as an investment in our community.
It’s our way of making this amazing city even better!
The River City Sauna Story
We’ve experienced many of the saunas in Los Angeles, Washington DC, Hungary, Morocco, Iceland, and Japan. The vitality we gained from those visits inspired us to create our own daily practice in our backyard saunas and cold plunge.
As a result of all of this, we discovered our purpose.
We’ve worked diligently over the past three years to bring this valuable ritual to our city. We know that a community that has more ways to commune and connect is healthier, happier, and more resilient. Having utilized sauna and thermic bathing in our own lives for over 20 years, we know that this centuries-old tradition is a perfect way to maintain wellness and, perhaps more importantly, strengthen connections with our inner selves as well as with others.
